Overview

The best ways to talk to AI so it helps you prepare better for assignments, quizzes, and exams—without replacing your own thinking.

In this student-friendly workshop, you'll learn how to talk to AI the right way so it becomes a genuine study helper, not a shortcut. We'll cover how to structure your questions, share your syllabus and notes, and design prompts that help you plan, review, and practice more effectively for assignments, quizzes, and exams.

Workshop Agenda

12:00 PM - 12:10 PM

Welcome & How AI Fits Your Studying

Quick welcome, overview of the workshop, ground rules, and framing AI as a study helper—not a replacement for your thinking.

12:00 PM - 12:35 PM

Collecting All Your Study Material

Gather syllabi, notes, PDFs, screenshots, audio, and YouTube links into one place. Learn simple folder structures and file-naming so humans and AI can both understand your coursework.

12:35 PM - 1:05 PM

Converting Everything into AI-Readable Text

Turn images, PDFs, audio, and video transcripts into clean text. Cover size/format limits, chunking long content, and the difference between "garbage in" and clean inputs AI can work with.

1:05 PM - 1:35 PM

How to Talk to AI: Questions, Quizzes & Podcasts

Use tools like NotebookLM, Groq, and Gemini AI studios to ask better questions, generate quizzes, summaries, and simple podcast-style explanations from your own notes.

1:35 PM - 2:00 PM

Limits, Habits & Live Q&A

Build a repeatable AI study routine, create a prompt log in Google Docs/Sheets, understand model limits (context, retrieval vs thinking), and close with open Q&A.
